On the back of the one-dollar bill we see the Great Seal of the United States β a pyramid, an all-seeing eye, the words Novus Ordo Seclorum, and βIN GOD WE TRUST.β
Not being certain which βGODβ is being referred to, the real question is not what they officially mean β the real question is: where do we place our trust?
π 1 Timothy 6:9β10 warns us: βFor those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trapβ¦ For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.β
Money itself is not evil. π΅ But when trust shifts from God to systems, from faith to finance, the heart slowly changes.
π Verse 7 reminds us: βWe brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.β
π Trust and gratitude must be given to the Most High, for βThe silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,β declares the Lord Almighty (Haggai 2:8). π
Currencies rise and fall. Markets crash and reset. Digital systems evolve. π
But God does not change.
True wealth is not control. Not accumulation. Not a βnew order.β
Let us not forget that our ultimate purpose is Salvation, and we must guard our hearts against worshiping systems, for we cannot serve two masters β Jesus or mammon. β¨
Systems cannot replace the one true God, who is love β the eternal currency of His Kingdom. β€οΈ
Any system built without God the Father ultimately leads to collapse, just as the Tower of Babel fell when human ambition tried to rise above Him.
